Princess Cruises reveals latest world cruise is fastest-selling ever

Princess Cruises has announced that its 2021 world cruise, which opened for sale on March 27, 2019, became the fastest-selling in its history within 24 hours.

The voyage is 111 days and departs from either Fort Lauderdale on January 3, 2021 or Los Angeles on January 17, 2021. The sailing will take place on the 2,200-guest Island Princess and visit 50 destinations in 32 countries, across six continents including Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, South America and North America. The ship will sail a total of 40,000 miles.

Princess Cruises is also offering a 97-day world segment, departing Los Angeles on January 17, 2021 as well as shorter, multi-day segments along the course of the sailing.

With over 700 balconies, Island Princess will accommodate more guests on the voyage than any previous Princess world cruise and offer a range of the line’s signature features such as a luxury bed in each stateroom, a selection of casual and speciality dining venues and Princess’ original production shows.

UK guests who would like to experience shorter, closer-to-home cruises on Island Princess can do so next year, as the ship will make regular Southampton departures to northern Europe from June – October.

World cruise guests will hear from a variety of guest speakers including authors, artists and explorers as part of Princess’ ‘Encounters with Discovery’ speaker series.

Highlights of the 2021 world cruise include:

· Visits to 25 UNESCO World Heritage Sites including the Great Barrier Reef in Australia; Petra in Jordan, one of the modern seven wonders of the world; the city of Ephesus in Turkey; and Rabat in Morocco
· Maiden ports of call including Gynthion, Greece; New Plymouth, New Zealand; and Mindelo, Cape Verde Islands
· An optional overland excursion to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in the Australian Outback, home of the iconic Ayers Rock
· Late-night stays in 14-ports including Honolulu, Singapore, Tahiti and Barcelona
· Overnight stays in Dubai and Venice

Prices for the 2021 world cruise on Island Princess start from £17,639 per person for the 111-day sailing and from £14,669 per person for the 97-day sailing.

Customers booking the 111-day or 97-day voyages before November 30, 2019 will receive early booking perks such as onboard credit* and complimentary gratuities, WiFi, wine and speciality dining.

Captain’s Circle loyalty club members are eligible for savings of up to £500 per person.
