Princess Cruises has unveiled a new production show – ‘Inspired Silliness’ – which will debut on the line’s latest ships, Sky Princess and Enchanted Princess.
Inspired Silliness is exclusive to Princess Cruises and recreates the earlier works of legendary puppeteer Jim Henson, creator of TV programmes such as The Muppets and Fraggle Rock, including several reimagined characters.
Each 30-minute performance will feature singers and dancers bringing to life the comedy, iconic music and puppetry that will appeal to guests and families of all ages in the line’s new and enhanced Princess Theatres.
The show will open shortly on the 3,660-guest Sky Princess as the ship sails the Mediterranean. The vessel will then spend a season in the Caribbean. Next year it will be based in Northern Europe and sail roundtrip from Copenhagen on a number of Russia and Scandinavia voyages between April and August.
The show will open on sister ship, Enchanted Princess, following her June 2020 launch in Southampton. The ship will then sail a season in the Mediterranean.
Tony Roberts, Princess Cruises vice president UK & Europe, said: “The introduction of Inspired Silliness showcases our continued commitment to offering new, exclusive and innovative experiences for all generations.
“Jim Henson is a name recognised all over the world and by combining his legendary puppetry with memorable music, comedy, spectacular visuals and our talented team of singers and dancers, guests will be in for a one-of-a-kind show.”
Princess Cruises is offering a 7-day Eastern Caribbean voyage on Sky Princess, departing February 22, 2020. Sailing roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale, ports of call are Princess Cays (Bahamas), St Thomas and St Maarten. Special offer currently available with prices from £999 per person for a mini-suite.
