30 October 2019 London, United Kingdom- With just 14 days to go until the launch of MSC Cruises’ first Meraviglia-Plus ship, MSC Grandiosa, in Hamburg, Germany on November 9th, the world’s largest privately-owned cruise line has revealed Scott Mills will be setting the decks on fire during the UK’s celebratory launch event in Southampton 12th November onboard the company’s newest flagship.
A Southampton native, the radio DJ and television presenter best known for his show on BBC Radio 1 will get the good vibes going in the Port of Southampton and provide over 1,500 guests including 500 agents the ‘Grandest’ of celebrations for the ultimate stay onboard one of the most environmentally-advanced ships at sea.
Of the event MSC Cruises UK & Ireland MD Antonio Paradiso said “Following the overwhelming success of our MSC Bellissima event in March and the much loved performance by fellow DJ and pop star, Craig David, we are excited to welcome Scott Mills to the MSC Cruises family for what will no doubt be an exciting night of entertainment.
He added “It’s a pleasure to be back in the Port of Southampton with an even bigger ship that allows us to showcase the electrifying spirit of MSC Cruises and thank the dynamic UK & Irish cruise industry that has played such a big part in our continued growth. As with each celebrity collaboration, Scott Mills’ performance provides an opportunity to present cruise to a new audience and it’s these new audiences that are so important in increasing the popularity of cruise.”
This is certainly a weird one for me to post, well in one way it is and in another it isn’t. Talk about an Oxymoron! Let me try to explain my confusion. I was lucky enough to have attended the Naming Ceremony of MSC Bellissima, moreover this cruise line is one that I proudly support, they’re amazing! I was once again invited along by MSC Cruises UK, to attend the launch of MSC Grandiosa, taking place in Southampton in just two weeks time. Unfortunately and sadly, I have to have some urgent surgery which was originally scheduled for October the 24th. Yep, that got cancelled and re-scheduled. You guessed it, for the 12th November – the same date as the launch. I am absolutely gutted to have to miss such a magnificent and historic event in cruise history. Despite my sadness, I’m proudly posting this release on my blog because I will continue support MSC Cruises and all they have to offer to the cruise industry and the people who choose to Cruise. I wish MSC Cruises and all who attend, a memorable launch. I know it will be…
As always, thank you for your support and for taking the time to read my blog.
Forever grateful – Claire Harris xx
